It’s the Door…

Thanks to George Bliss, I finally have the answer.  Now I have to write myself a note to remember to tell every one that it is not old age… (Note to my family.. please read this post)

And here we probably thought we were just getting “old – er” and our memory was going to pot. And all the time it was the door!  Whew! What a relief to learn this…
Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was? Turns out, doors themselves are to blame for these strange memory lapses.
Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what’s known as an event boundary in the mind, separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next. Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate for the new locale.
It’s not aging, it’s the darn door!
Thank goodness for studies like this!

Hang in there..

As I get closer to retirement from web stuff, I have moved my blog to WordPress hosting.  My email ( is being redirected to my gmail account, etc.  It’s all free and ultimately gives me more flexibility for my other projects.

For those that are using my hosting services, nothing on your accounts or support will change.

Hang in there, all is good…
